Job Title: Warehouse Coordinator
Reports to: Executive Director
Hours: M-F, 20 Hours/Week, Occasional Evenings and Weekends Required
Compensation: $18.72-$27.92
Job Summary: The Warehouse Coordinator Assistant is responsible for proper storage and inventory of food and supplies, general day-to-day maintenance of the Food Bank and its property, receiving and sorting of deliveries and donations, as well as driving the Food Bank van and box truck when necessary. The Warehouse Coordinator leads the grocery rescue program and accompanying reports, as well as manages government commodity reporting on an as-needed basis. This role works closely with the Market Coordinator.
Basic Qualifications:
· High School diploma or GED
· Experience working with a team
· Competent in Microsoft Office
· Ability to learn new technologies and programs with ease
Preferred Qualifications:
· 2-3 years warehouse experience
· Strong organizational skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Ability to maintain a professional and positive work environment
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· High level of integrity and discretion
Requirements:
· Must have reliable personal transportation and provide proof of valid Washington State Driver’s License
· Must be at least 25 years-old to drive company vehicle and be insurable
· Must be able to pass a criminal history background check
· Must be able to sit/stand for periods of up to four hours
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds
· Must have or be able to obtain Food Handlers Permit
· Must be able to work with people from diverse backgrounds and living situations
Responsibilities:
Receive and properly store all deliveries to the Maple Valley Food Bank
Inspect orders of diary, produce, etc. and make sure that all items are accounted for and not expired.
Maintain organized warehouse storage to allow for easy stocking in the market
Ensure proper rotation of product on the back end and ‘first-in, first-out.’
Maintain orderly food and supply storage areas
Coordinate the loading and unloading of vehicles
Assist with driving and pick-ups of weekly and special occasion runs
Follow guidelines for sorting and storing food; lead food sorting projects as needed
Manage compost programs to reduce food waste
Work alongside volunteers and community service workers
Maintain general grounds and building according to weekly schedule
Maintain weekly cleaning schedule for warehouse, market, walk-in freezer and refrigerator, office area and public restrooms; Maintain a clean and sanitary environment through the food bank
Maintain accurate inventory of all government commodities, including the completion of monthly reports
Complete required reports for partner programs such as RAFP (grocery rescue)
Manage weight logs for all incoming donations, etc. and complete reports as needed
Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies
Help maintain service schedule for all vehicles
Perform all other duties as assigned
