The Union Payroll Specialist is a critical role to the success of our company by ensuring compliance and proper administration of union labor contract requirements for all regions of the company. Position requires a high level of ownership over scope of work and someone who is a self-starter who enjoys taking initiative. Primary focus of role includes being SME on union labor contracts for 7 locals and partnering with our field operational Division offices to ensure proper administration / application of such throughout the company. Position reports directly to the Payroll Supervisor with a dotted line to Finance Director. Full time non-exempt position plus occasional overtime.
Key responsibilities include;
Administration of labor union contracts requirements
Maintenance of accurate contract payroll rates in company systems
Processing of weekly field payroll for 500+ employees in WA & OR
Remits payroll burdens to local unions
Regulatory reporting & compliance requirements including certified payroll reporting
Provide customer service support to field operational Division offices for all union contract related information
Maintain company documents and conduct training / educational activities related to field union labor contract requirements
Assist payroll supervisor with payroll tax filings and other related duties as needed
Support HR Dept for new hires / separations, federal reporting, and misc. duties as needed

High School diploma or GED required, AA/BA in accounting preferred. Minimum of 5 years of payroll with 2 years union payroll experience. Construction industry experience preferred. Exposure with Vista by Viewpoint ERP system is a bonus. Selected candidate must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen.
