It's our favorite time of year - Wacky & Wild time! The Chamber's Wacky & Wild Golf Challenge is scheduled for Wednesday, August 19th at Lake Wilderness Golf Course. Sponsored by UW Medicine -Valley Medical Center, it's a day filled with fun, networking and golf (sort of). Get a foursome together and hit the links! Due to COVID-19 the Challenge will run a bit different than year's past but it's still a great opportunity to get outside and play some golf with friends. July Chamber Luncheon is Tomorrow - Your Business has Reopened - Now What?

We will have a luncheon in July this year! Normally we would be playing golf but our Wacky & Wild Tournament has been rescheduled for August 19th. Our speaker this month is Taryn Hornby with Green River College's Small Business Development Center. She will be discussing what businesses should do to prepare and navigate the new normal of business. Now that businesses are opening back up - what should you be doing in order to plan for the future? Should you be re-evaluating your business plan because of the new normal? Focus on cash flow? How do you navigate PPP and EIDL loans? Bring your questions and she will answer them!

PPE Still Available to Maple Valley Black Diamond Businesses

Didn't get a chance to "drive thru" and get your free PPE last week? You can still get a kit by calling the Chamber at 425.432.0222 x101 or emailing Erica at ceo@maplevalleychamber.org and scheduling a time for pick up. Each businesses will receive a 14oz. bottle of hand sanitizer along with cloth and disposable face masks (based on number of employees). We hope to hear from you!

City of Maple Valley to Reimburse Businesses for Additional PPE Needs

For any additional PPE supplies that businesses need for re-opening, the City of Maple Valley will reimburse eligible businesses up to, however, not exceeding $300.00 per business. Please visit the Association of Washington Business PPE Connect website at www.reboundandrecovery.org/ppe-connect to locate a supplier that can assist you with your PPE needs. Note: If you purchase items directly from a supplier, please submit your receipt to the City for reimbursement. If a business doesn't have the funds available upfront to purchase the PPE supplies needed, they can submit a copy of their invoice (with the price quote) so that funds can be issued to allow the business to place their PPE order. Please submit any receipts or invoices for reimbursement to Finance2@maplevalleywa.gov Note: Your W-9 Form (Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification) and Maple Valley Business License Number (UBI number) need to be submitted along with your PPE receipts. If your organization is exempt, a UBI number is not required. Please include an Invoice Number that is generated by your organization when submitting your documents for reimbursement.
