Spring Clean Up - Lake Wilderness Park - Volunteers NeededJoin us on Saturday, April 20th at noon to help get Lake Wilderness Park "Derby Ready" for Hooked On Fishing, April 26 & 27. We will meet at the new Beach House and Parks staff will have some clean up jobs ready for us. Dress for the weather and bring your gloves and a rake. Any other equipment needed will be provided by the Parks staff. This is a great opportunity to give back to your community, get some fresh air and make the Park look great for our visitors and residents that will be coming to the Derby the following weekend. Inslee announces new SAFETY PLAN for reopeningGovernor Inslee announced a new safety plan for reopening the State of Washington. The HEALTHY WASHINGTON plan replaces the old SAFE START plan. The state will be divided up into 8 regions based on health system resources. In order to move to a new Phase (currently we are in a Phase 1), regions will have to show a 10% decrease in trends in case rates; a 10% decrease in COVID hospital admission rates; an ICU occupancy rate that's less than 90% and a test positivity rate of less than 10%. In Phase Two, restaurants can open indoor dining at 25% capacity, fitness centers can open at 25% capacity and other increases in capacity for events can increase.
