For quite a few election cycles now, the Maple Valley Black Diamond Chamber of Commerce has held and hosted a Candidate Forum for candidates to participate in. The Forum allows constituents the opportunity to see and hear each of the candidates speak on the issues relevant to your city.

As in the past, there will be a single moderator conducting the forum and presenting the questions. The questions will be drafted by our Board of Directors along with input from multiple resources, including our local Chamber members, committee input, public input, etc.  Many of the questions will be tailored to the local economy, economic development, and business owners provided the mission of the Chamber; however, we will also include general matters that are relevant to the region.

Due to Covid restrictions as well as scheduling issues with the PAC at Tahoma High School, we will be unable to provide a community meeting as we have in the past.  However, we are able to provide a Candidate Forum at the October Luncheon.

The Luncheon meeting at the Lodge will be recorded, posted onto our Chamber YouTube page, and shared with the community via our social media platforms, so they can view the content and have a chance to hear from their candidates.

Candidates for the City of Maple Valley are:  Linda Olson, Victoria Schroff, & Dana Parnello.

Candidates for the City of Black Diamond are: Carol Benson, Glen Yadon, Trish Stallard, Therron Smith, Corey Bailey, Leih Mulvihill, Bernie O’Donnell & Debbie Page.

Candidates for the Tahoma School District are: Val Paganelli, Haley Pendergraft & Kyle Meyeres.
