Weatherly Inn Memory Care in Kent
On Wednesday, October 7th, General Manager Bryan Pontius and staff welcomed chamber members to the Weatherly Inn in Kent. “We are honored to join the Maple Valley-Black Diamond Chamber of Commerce and be recognized in this ribbon cutting ceremony today. Having recently won The Reporter’s Best of Covington- Maple Valley- Black Diamond and Best of Kent for 2015, we look forward to being the preferred provider of memory care in the Maple Valley/Black Diamond/Covington/Kent for many more years to come.”
Weatherly Inn is a family-owned and locally managed memory care community located in Kent, along the Kent Kangley Road, just west of Covington. President and CEO Alex Bunn explains, “We built our community from the ground up, keeping in mind people living with Alzheimer’s. Our senior living community is the perfect place for them to reside in a safe, caring, and beautiful environment, and it is our privilege to be a part of their lives in such a unique and important way.”
There’s a Weatherly Inn in Tacoma, too; it is a senior living community for retirement consisting of independent and assisted living, memory care, adult day stay and respite care.
Sherry See, Director of Community Relations, describes Weatherly Inn at Lake Meridian as a ‘One-of-a-Kind Place. ’ As visitors, we discovered this just walking in the front door; it is very much a home-like setting. The lobby is incredibly inviting with over-stuffed chairs and seating areas, there are enclosed outdoor courtyards creating a peaceful place to enjoy fresh air and the residents’ interior lobby is designed as a ‘town square’ complete with a beauty salon, ice cream parlor, storefront, bus stop, and a 1948 Dodge.
Headed west on Kent-Kangley, the Weatherly Inn is on your left at 151st SE. You probably drive by it at least once a week. Take a closer look next time or better yet, stop by, take a short guided tour, and get answers to your questions about memory care for someone in your family.
