I received an email from the Maple Valley Police Department regarding a few planned peaceful marches tomorrow, June 6th in and around Four Corners between 1pm-6pm. They wanted businesses to know the following: "We want them all to know that there are 2 groups organizing a protest around the 4 Corners area tomorrow between 1-6 PM. We will be out and about monitoring the planned peaceful march. We just want the businesses to know about it and plan for a little inconvenience. As of Thursday morning, April 16, the SBA has lapsed in appropriations for disaster funding. Here is the official notice from the SBA website: Lapse in Appropriations Notice: SBA is unable to accept new applications at this time for the Paycheck Protection Program or the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL)-COVID-19 related assistance program (including EIDL Advances) based on available appropriations funding. EIDL applicants who have already submitted their applications will continue to be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. To learn more about other relief options available for small business, click here. SBA Administrator Jovita Carranza and U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin have issued this joint statement appealing to Congress for additional funds to pass.
