The Chamber will welcome new Tahoma teachers with Goody Bags! 55 Items needed by FRIDAY, August 17th! The 'bus load' of new teachers to the Tahoma School District will be greeted with what we call "goody bags" - a bag full of samples, coupons, candy, pens and other items from local businesses. The goody bag serves as a welcome from our businesses especially to the teachers who come from outside our greater community. People tend to shop close to where they work - so this is a great opportunity for local businesses to welcome new teachers to our greater community and to let them know what's in store for them - right here in Maple Valley! And for all you Tahoma alumni who own local businesses, it's a fun way to connect with your alma mater and maybe even your child's new teacher! PS: in this case, a 'bus load' is 55 new teachers! Just bring your 55 items to the chamber office by FRIDAY, August 17th and we will deliver the goody bags to the school district on Monday, August 20th!. read more
