The Seattle Metro Chamber, which serves as the King County Associate Development Organization (ADO), is working to ensure that $580,000 in federal funding reaches King County small businesses. This is part of the $10 million that Washington State received for small business support from the federal CARES Act. This is a competitive grant with awards in the amounts of $5,000, $7,500 and $10,000 (for eligible businesses). Applications open today and close on Monday, September 25th at 5pm. Apply now. It's our favorite time of year - Wacky & Wild time! The Chamber's Wacky & Wild Golf Challenge is scheduled for Wednesday, August 19th at Lake Wilderness Golf Course. Sponsored by UW Medicine -Valley Medical Center, it's a day filled with fun, networking and golf (sort of). Get a foursome together and hit the links! We will have a luncheon in July this year! Normally we would be playing golf but our Wacky & Wild Tournament has been rescheduled for August 19th. Our speaker this month is Taryn Hornby with Green River College's Small Business Development Center. She will be discussing what businesses should do to prepare and navigate the new normal of business. Now that businesses are opening back up - what should you be doing in order to plan for the future? Should you be re-evaluating your business plan because of the new normal? Focus on cash flow?
