Please join us for February's Virtual Chamber Luncheon on February 17th, from 11:30am - 1:00pm. This month's topic is on the Covid-19 Vaccinations, and will be held by MultiCare Health System. "COVID Vaccine: A quick update... A discussion about the COVID vaccines, the challenges and successes. The world has come a long way ths year since the coronavirus came to be. We've still got some challenges, but there's hope on the horizon." The speaker for MultiCare will be Brian Cain, Asst Administrator for Covington and Auburn Medical Centers. Brian joined MultiCare in 2016 and began his current role just over a year ago. His 17 years of healthcare experience includes management, operations and program development. Brian was instrumental in helping to organize the COVID vaccination clinics at MultiCare's South King County locations. read more

As of today, February 1st, the Puget Sound Region has moved into Phase 2 of the Governor's Healthy Washington - Roadmap to Recovery. What does that mean for your business? Check out the activity guidelines here. We are excited that Restaurants, Indoor Recreation & Fitness Establishments and Indoor Entertainment establishments can now operate at 25% capacity. By now....you have probably seen your new Unemployment Insurance Tax Rate Notice - and have been shocked at how high it is! Washington employers have been hit with massive tax increases to replenish the state's Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund, which saw record demand after the pandemic hit and businesses shut down to stop the spread of the virus. Our Chamber led by the State Chamber (AWB) is advocating for you on this issue. Currently, Senate Bill 5061 has been introduced to help lower the sudden hit to employers. This year, Auburn Medical Center celebrates 100 years of caring for our community. We're so proud to celebrate this milestone with you, and we thank you for trusting us with your care. This is a year-long celebration with our community, and we hope you'll join us - either by sharing your story of exceptional care, reading our history or looking through our photos, we've got a year of fun-filled opportunities to engage with us. The hospital was founded by two doctors and has grown to a regional medical center connected to the largest, not-for-profit, community-based, locally owned health system in the state of Washington.
