Join the City Council, Economic Development Commission and Planning Commission for a Downtown Maple Valley Visioning Study. An interactive workshop led by a consultant team and City staff. Please join us for our monthly membership luncheon on Wednesday, April 17th at Lake Wilderness Lodge from 11:30am to 1:00pm. April's luncheon is the "State of the Cities"address. We will get updates from both the Maple Valley and Black Diamond on what's happening in their respective communities. ALSO - you will have the opportunity to bid on RUBY, the beautiful glass fish. It's a tradition that we put RUBY up for auction during our April luncheon. Proceeds go to help fund the prizes for the Annual Hooked on Fishing Opening Day Trout Derby on Lake Wilderness taking place on April 26 and 27. We hope you will join us! A huge thank you to those businesses that participated in the first ever joint Business Boot Camp presented by the Covington Chamber of Commerce and the Maple Valley Black Diamond Chamber of Commerce. Join us on Saturday, April 20th at noon to help get Lake Wilderness Park "Derby Ready" for Hooked On Fishing, April 26 & 27. We will meet at the new Beach House and Parks staff will have some clean up jobs ready for us. Dress for the weather and bring your gloves and a rake. Any other equipment needed will be provided by the Parks staff. This is a great opportunity to give back to your community, get some fresh air and make the Park look great for our visitors and residents that will be coming to the Derby the following weekend.
