Congratulations to our 2020 Chamber Business Award Winners!

2020 Business of the Year

Key Bank is truly a community Bank that cares for small businesses. With Kirk Lantier as the branch manager, Key Bank was instrumental in helping small businesses in Maple Valley and surrounding communities obtain the PPP loans needed to keep their business afloat during the pandemic. The customer service experience provided by Kirk is second to none!

2020 New Business of the Year

9 Round Fitness opened their doors in the summer of 2019 but little did they know that just 8 months later, they would be facing a global pandemic. Forced to shut their facility, they quickly found creative ways to keep their members engaged including online and outdoor works outs. Perhaps you saw their members working out under the shelter at the new Farmers’ Market location. Throughout all the ups and downs and uncertainty, owners Zack and Lori Ketter have remained positive and dedicated to their 9Rounders!

2020 Chamber Member of the Year

The Maple Valley Food Bank continues to be instrumental in meeting the needs of our community. They have continued to be innovative in the different ways they can meet the needs, along with extreme efficiency. This is why they have such a large and loyal team of volunteers. During the pandemic, they found creative ways to continue meet these needs and provide an unprecedented impact on our community.

2020 Non Profit of the Year

Black Diamond Historical Society – This all-volunteer group actively works to preserve the history and heritage of the Black Diamond area for future generations. Despite being closed due to the pandemic, the volunteers pulled together to upgrade the displays and add murals to the museum. As one person said “They have created not only a museum of artifacts and history, but a special feeling of small-town community that is second to none. You just feel a part of that community when you go there.

2020 Ambassador of the Year

Dawn Cruff (Amber Bills Real Estate Group) relocated from North Dakota less than 2 years ago. She joined the Amber Bills Real Estate Team and started immediately in the MVBD Chamber getting to know everyone she could. We immediately saw that she was a perfect fit for our Ambassador program. She has been instrumental in welcoming newcomers and assisting current members. Her Mid- West friendliness and her “Can-Do” attitude has made her invaluable to the Chamber!
