Take Responsibility - How the Best Organizations in the World Survive in a Down Economy and Thrive When Times are Good

Presenter:
Randy Spitzer - President, Responsibility Cultures

Organizations today face a number of tough challenges including a lingering recession, tough competition and rapidly changing markets. But it turns out that the best organizations in the world are not distracted by these problems. Rather they stay focused on three key strategic issues that enable them to survive and thrive:

1. Consistently delivering customer value
2. Creating a sense of urgency
3. Building a healthy work environment

Mr. Spitzer's most recent book is Take Responsibility! - How the Best Organizations in the World Survive in a Down Economy and Thrive When Times are Good is available from SelectBooks, Inc., New York. Mr. Spitzer's first book, Accountability - Freedom & Responsibility with Control, which he co-authored with Rob Lebow was published in 2002 by Berrett-Koehler, San Francisco. Mr. Spitzer is author of numerous articles appearing in publications including: Leadership Excellence and The Journal for Quality and Participation. While promoting his books, Mr. Spitzer has been a guest on dozens of radio shows across the USA.

The focus of out work is:

"helping organizations achieve extraordinary results with ordinary people."
Our job is to guide, inform and inspire; to walk along side, rather than lead. We do this by employing a proven process for establishing a culture where people are willing and able to take full responsibility for their jobs and for the systems within which they work. We provide a well-established framework for helping organizations create a sense of urgency for major change. And, we help teams learn how to design systems that are capable of consistently delivering customer value.
