About Us

Welcome to the Maple Valley-Black Diamond Chamber

Your guide to business in the greater Maple Valley & Black Diamond Areas

On behalf of the Greater Maple Valley-Black Diamond Chamber of Commerce, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our website. It is a resource that is useful every day in seeking out the goods and services you need. Explore this website to find job postings and hot deals by our member businesses as well as a community calendar of events and activities.
The Chamber's primary purpose is to be a strong advocate for business in our community. The Chamber provides a forum for our members to identify and address critical issues and concerns. As a result, our legislative and business development action committees influence decision makers at the local, county, and state levels.

Our business community is also strengthened by networking, referrals, partnerships, and exchange of information made possible through membership in the Chamber. With its many activities, the Chamber also identifies and develops leaders. Business owners are vested in the overall health and well being of our communities and bring their successful business skills and practices to the greater community.

Once known for coal, timber, and railroads, as well as for the many vacation resorts that once stood along our rivers and lakes, our communities are changing rapidly into strong suburban centers. This directory is just one
example of how the Chamber is working to connect and communicate with our growing communities.

In 2011,  Maple Valley received Family Circle Magazine’s designation of being among the ‘10 Best Towns For Families”; in 2013, Bloomberg Businessweek announced Maple Valley as among one of the ‘50 Best Places To Raise Kids in 2013.’  This just affirms what we already knew – it’s a great place to live because of affordable homes, quality schools, access to health care, green space, low crime rate, financial stability, and a spirit of giving.

In Black Diamond, just to the south of Maple Valley along State Route 169, excitement is growing as YarrowBay Holdings moves closer to breaking ground on The Villages and Lawson Hills Planned Communities.  These communities are designed to include mixed-use and walkable neighborhoods that will retain that treasured small town character.  The spectacular views of majestic Mount Rainier and the awesome power of the Green River, still carving out the steep cliffs of the gorge, characterize the natural wonders of this area.

Our Chamber values our businesses, our residents, our schools, and our visitors.  We love to talk about our communities so give us a call - we welcome the opportunity to talk to you!

Volunteers Needed for American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Black Diamond, Covington, Maple Valley

Black Diamond/Covington/Maple Valley, WA  -The American Cancer Society is seeking volunteers in Black Diamond, Covington, and Maple Valley to be a part of the annual Relay For Life event scheduled for May 20th, 2017. Community volunteers lead and organize each local event with the support of Society staff. From assisting with planning the annual event to taking part the day-of, there are various volunteer opportunities for interested community members.

Interested community members are welcome to 2017 Event Lead, Jenene Wilmoth, via email at jenene23@gmail.com.

The Relay For Life program is a community-based event where teams and individuals come together at a school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team participates in raising funds to support the American Cancer Society’s mission to finish the fight against cancer. Our local event takes place at Cedar Heights Middle School starting at 11am and ending at 11pm.

"The Relay For Life movement is all about our community uniting to finish the fight against cancer," said Jenene Wilmoth, Event Lead. "We rely on the support of volunteers to help make the Black Diamond/Covington/Maple Valley event a success.”
