The board of directors of the Greater Maple Valley-Black Diamond Chamber of Commerce voted unanimously (seven of nine members present) on Wednesday, February 9th, to endorse Tahoma’s April 26 bond measure.
In letters to both Superintendent Mike Maryanski and to the school board, Karen reiterated the board's strong support, "It is certainly an investment we need to make to help safeguard the great reputation of the Tahoma School District. We know great schools create strong communities and thriving local businesses"
The board recognizes the economic challenges we all face as small business owners but a strong school district attracts families and home buyers that in turn create the economic vitality necessary to sustain our local businesses.
We invite your thoughts and comments as it's a chance to ask questions and get answers so we can all Vote Yes on April 26th.
