I am very happy to share some exciting news: Kevin Patterson with the Tahoma School District will be rejoining the board to fulfill Tim Lemon's unexpired term. We welcome Kevin's experience, guidance and leadership on the board.
I wanted to thank the entire President's dinner team for the extraordinary effort that was put out. It seemed like everyone had a great time and from Sue's preliminary numbers it was a hit. Taking into consideration the state of the economy it was a grand slam. I have to take a second and thank the committee of Laura Richardson with Kolkay Electric, Storm McNeal with SFM Asset Management, Chantel Wolters with D'cor&You, Jack Emmons with John L. Scott, Jon Roelofs with Edward Jones, Tina McDonough with Windermere, and most of all the two hero's of this (and many other chamber events) Sandi Sutton with All Service Plumbing and Karen Crowe with Envirospect NW who went way above and beyond (as usual)! I also have to thank the board of Jim Flynn, Kevin Patterson, Shane Davies; the house boy (Bill VanRuff), Jimmy Wasmund, Roxanne Michelson and all the others who helped. I also want to thank all the sponsors and donors for the auction for whom this event wouldn't be possible. Finally Suzie Davies who is proving to be an amazing addition to the team and of course our glue, our duct tape, our bailing wire, who seems to keep this train wreck on the rails, Sue! We may have raised more money to help pay her salary but know we could never pay her what she is worth!
I also wanted to let everyone know that the Chamber Directory has headed to press and should be available soon for you to give to all your clients and customers.
I am in awe at times of the dedication, skills, passion and hard work of this group and it is an honor and it is also very humbling to be the president of this organization. You all make my job much easier and you deserve all the credit and accolades. I truly love living in and working in this community. Thank you!
Fins Up!
