Energy Earl
sponsored by Puget Sound Energy Swims Free
This year's tagged fish, Energy Earl, so named by its sponsor Puget Sound Energy, remains swimming free in Lake Wilderness. Doug Corbin of Puget Sound Energy was greatly disappointed that this year's tagged fish wasn't caught. There is always such great excitement when it is caught which has been twice in the history of our derby - once in 2003 by Nathan Cairns and then again in 2009 by Nathan Geringer. Could it be there just weren't any Nathans fishing this year???? Even though 'Energy Earl' no longer has a bounty on its head, it will still be a great catch weighing in at over 3 lbs.
Above is a picture of 'Energy Earl' before his release in to the lake. As is tradition, the tagged fish gets a kiss from its sponsors - Doug Corbin has the honors while Anita Yurovchak looks on.
