Davies to lead East King County Chambers of Commerce Legislative Coalition
Shane Davies, Broker/Agent of Windermere and past board president of the Greater Maple Valley-Black Diamond Chamber of Commerce is the new chair of the East King County Chambers of Commerce Legislative Coalition.
Davies was elected April 28 to lead the legislative coalition, which is comprised of 10 chambers: Bellevue, Bothell, Issaquah, Kirkland, Maple Valley-Black Diamond, Newcastle, Redmond, Sammamish, Snoqualmie Valley, and Woodinville.
Since joining the Coalition in 2007, this Chamber has established itself as a strong voice for its members and the greater business community. As a member of the coalition, we are able to draw on the resources of the coalition and Kevin Kelly, the Public Affairs Manager, to be kept informed of emerging legislation and to communicate with our elected representatives on key issues. More than ever, our business community needs strong advocacy in Olympia. It is a real benefit to our membership to have our Chamber take leadership roles and lobby our legislators on behalf of our members. We are represented at the Coalition table by me, Shane, Bill Woodcock (W Real Estate Services), and Bryan Kelley (Valley Automotive Repair). Contact any of us for more information.
All local small businesses benefit from the Chamber’s involvement and advocacy. If you aren’t a member, please support our efforts and join the Chamber . . . It’s Your Business.
