It’s easy to see the changes happening at Four Corners on the TRM site soon to be Fred Meyer and the Maple Valley Town Square, but it’s not so easy to see some of the other changes happening in the business community. Here are just a few things in the works.
Party Etc. currently located in the Maple Valley Commons will be moving north to the Wilderness Village area, specifically the Maple Valley Center building in the space formerly occupied by the paint store. Owners Michael and Barbara Loughery expect the move sometime in August. Also in Wilderness Village, a new pet food store is scheduled to open on August 1. Yummy Tummy Pet Food specializes in all natural holistic dog and cat food, BIG dog supplies, and ecofriendly leashes and collars. Yummy Tummy will be right next door to Wilderness Animal Hospital. New tenants are also moving in to the Capstone Building on the corner of Maple Valley Highway and SE 240th. Chamber member Mary Fuhr, Maple Valley Pediatric Therapy just moved in to Suite 206; the clinic specializes in sensory integration, neurodevelopmental treatment, infant and pediatric massage, yoga, and relaxation.
In Sawyer’s Village at Kent Kangley and 216th Ave SE, a new bike shop opened – Bike Masters & Boards and Curtis Lang is busy building that new coffee-wine shop called Ristretto due to open in the late summer.
All of this activity is great for our community. Stay tuned for more changes in the very near future.
