And The Nominees Are:

And The Nominees Are:

This year’s annual President’s Dinner & Chamber Celebration on February 10 is in the spirit of the Oscars.  It’s time to roll out the red carpet and honor our local businesses and once again, celebrate their successes with the annual Business of the Year Award and the Economic Engine That Did Award.

The Business of the Year will be chosen from 2011’s quarterly award winners. Criteria for the Business of the Year awards include: community involvement and collaboration; contributions to their respective industry & the business community as a whole; business performance and growth; personal leadership and courage; innovative practices, business strategies, and goals; response to changing conditions and flexibility in these economic times; achievement or awards in management, staff training and motivation, work place excellence; product and/or customer service innovation and creativity. Each one of the nominees is to be congratulated on exceeding the expectations of their customers and the community.

And the nominees are:

The Jenson Agency @ Four Corners- Patti Jenson; JavaJava Coffee Company-Brett & Brenda Habenicht; Cedar Grove Composting-Steve Banchero, Jr., and Flynn Development-Jim Flynn.

The second annual award is the Economic Engine That Did Award. This award is presented to a business that is five years old or less that exhibits creativity, planning and measurable success that results in consistent growth, job creation and customer satisfaction. This is an exceptionally amazing feat given the economic conditions in the past five years.

And the nominees are:

Cedar Grill Restaurant- Cindy Gregory; DaVine-Ken and Cheryl Dunham; Thrive Community Fitness – Chris and Vicki Pallis and Berge Hovsepian, owners, Tanya Nielsen, Manager; and The Water Distillery- Bevel Hoffpauir.

If you would like to attend this annual event and help honor these nominees and award winners, please call the chamber office at 425.432.0222. And above all, support our local business community by shopping locally.
